A new navigation sidebar, Email Attachments, SkyQuote Help Center, and updated Client Portal

A New Navigation Sidebar

We’ve heard numerous times that the navigation was confusing and it was hard to find certain things. We’re pleased to release a new navigation sidebar. The updated layout shows everything clearly at the top level in expandable sections. It’s also collapsible, so you can get more screen space when needed.

You can now create new appointments or clients directly from the side nav. That means the option is available anywhere in the app on desktop. The new sidebar also improves performance. Pages load more smoothly and the site runs faster.

Email Attachments

You can now include attachments to the emails SkyQuote sends on your behalf to your leads who have submitted InstaQuotes or Contact Forms. Attachments can be of most any type (PDF, doc, image, etc). To learn how to add attachments see Adding Attachments to InstaQuote and Contact Form Emails.

SkyQuote Help Center

We're consolidating our help articles into the new SkyQuote Help Center at help.sky-quote.com. We'll be adding a full set of onboarding and how-to articles soon. The site includes sections for:

  • Onboarding
  • How-to guides
  • Product updates
  • Frequently asked questions
  • Help contact information

Removed Conversations & Updated Client Portal

The messaging system let you communicate with clients through the app and client portal. But it wasn’t being used much, and it was clunky and buggy. We removed it, which helped improve website performance.

We also redesigned the client portal since messaging had been such a prominent part of it. Appointments are now the main focus. We added a small contact section that shows your email and phone number, so customers can still reach you directly.

Customers can now reschedule appointments themselves through the portal. There’s no need for extra emails or calls.
