City Based Pricing
When setting up InstaQuote you can now vary your pricing by the location of your customers address. In InstaQuote their is now a tab called "Advanced Pricing". On that page you can enable "City Based Pricing". First create a pricing zone. This is the name of a city or region or high cost neighborhood vs low cost neighborhood. Change your prices accordingly. Then use the location search to add what cities belong to that pricing zone. You can manually search for cities, or do a region search using distance from a particular address. Any city not specifically set up in custom pricing will default to your standard pricing from the InstaQuote configuration.
Base Location Scheduling
We have added a new feature called Base Location Scheduling for companies that have larger teams that cover large geographical regions. In these cases, it might make sense to have base locations where team members work and have the scheduling system automatically take this into account when a customer schedules an appointment. How Base Location Scheduling Works:
- Create office/base locations (can be cities, counties, provinces/states, or specific addresses)
- Assign team members to their home base location
- When customers book, appointments go to the closest available team member from the nearest base
- Perfect for companies with multiple office locations or service areas across the US and Canada
Team Permissions
We are happy to announce a new Team Permissions system that provides granular control over what your team members can access and modify within SkyQuote. Using role-based templates, you can ensure each team member has exactly the permissions they need to be productive while maintaining security. The system includes three default permissions templates:
- Admin (for office managers with broad access)
- Sales Representative (for sales team members with lead and client management capabilities)
- Canvasser (for lead generation specialists with limited access).
Business owners maintain unrestricted access to all features without needing a template assignment. Team members that are already setup will be automatically mapped to the new templates with normal team members being mapped to Sale Representative.

Lead Assignments
The Lead Assignments system streamlines how incoming leads are distributed and managed among your team members, ensuring every potential customer receives prompt attention from the right person. Leads from both InstaQuote and Contact Forms can be assigned to single or multiple team members, with the system automatically sending email and SMS notifications to newly assigned representatives based on their notification preferences.
The system integrates seamlessly with the Team Permissions framework, showing different views based on user access levels. Team members with "own leads" viewing permission see only their assigned leads with a simplified interface, while managers and administrators with "all leads" permission can view the complete lead pool and assign leads to team members.

InstaQuote Change
While satellite-based roof detection works well, certain conditions can sometimes affect measurement precision:
- Shadows from trees or other obstructions
- Complex roof geometries
To help with these issues, we've added an interactive roof outline editing step that allows homeowners to review and refine their roof boundaries to make estimates even more accurate.
The new workflow includes an additional step:
- Address Search → Roof Selection → Roof Outline Review → Pitch Selection → Materials & Pricing
